Prays citri
Citrus flower moth
AFFECTED CROP:
Citrus fruit, especially the lemon tree.
DAMAGES:
The larvae pierce the flower petals, penetrating the flower and feeding inside. Once inside the flower, it attacks the ovary, which has already set, causing it to fall off. It is possible to distinguish that flowering damage has been caused by this pest by the amount of silk present on the dried flowers.
